Grief is a twisty road. The most important thing is to be true to the little voice inside of you. If it is saying smile, then smile, but if it is saying cry – have a good long hard cry. I believe that tears help to wash away the sorrow. We need them to heal.

I am so thankful for my dog. He’s kept me going through some pretty bad times. He’s my fur baby.

I am allergic to pets, in the sense that I don’t particularly care for them or like them as such. I’ve always felt that there are a lot of human beings who are going without much in terms of food, clothing, shelter etc., and yet so many animals are given high services in “pet status”. Of course, that’s just my opinion and I know pets are admired by many and serve as good companions and are treated as family members by so many.

I enjoyed reading your post though, thanks for sharing it with us. I am glad people find pet therapy useful, at least pets don’t push our buttons the way people do, and I hope I haven’t pushed the buttons of people who love pets and have many pets.
